Historic Railway Turntable and Scenic Overlook

Past Meets Future

The City of Citronelle has recently uncovered our historic railway turntable and water tower base from the days of steam power. So far, we have participated in pressure washing these beautiful piers.

We envision this being the trailhead of a soft surface recreation trail to the North of town along the grade. In the shorter term, we are excited about the possibility of a scenic overlook at this location and finding out more about its history.

Notice the terrain shown in the picture below. The scenic overlook would look down upon the lake below it.
